Notice of Sourceforge Outage

From the Sourceforge team:

On 2002-11-14 (Thursday), the SourceForge.net site, project mailing list services, and the primary download server (which handles the redirects for all download requests) will be offline for a period of two to three hours, starting at 16:00 Pacific (GMT-8).

On 2002-11-17 (Sunday), project CVS services, project shell services, project web services (including all VHOSTs), and project database services will be offline for a period of up to twelve hours, starting at 10:00 Pacific (GMT-8). Project web services will be restored first, but will be brought up initially with read-only access to project group directory space. Static web content will be served correctly during this time period, but application-driven and database-dependent content and CGI scripts will not function correctly. Issues encountered during this time period SHOULD NOT be reported to SourceForge.net; they are an expected side-effect of this outage.

Both outages (2002-11-14 at 16:00 for 3 hours, and 2002-11-17 at 10:00 for 12 hours) have been scheduled to permit the relocation of site hardware by SourceForge.net staff.

Just a note: if you're having problems, please don't e-mail me at jrv3@po. Please post your question in the CWRUser Help Forum. This way if someone else has the same problem, it won't be asked again. I've already a few repeat questions. This method won't take any longer either - all posts in the help forum are automatically e-mailed to me anyway.

If you do need to e-mail me, please send it to beanalby@users.sourceforge.net, not jrv3@po. I filter mail based on the Sourceforge alias so all the 398 stuff goes in the same place.

Thursday, 10/03/2002 Added the "Setting up CLI CVS in Win32" that I forgot about. Oops.

Tuesday, 10/01/2002 Site is finally up. Added the first CVS assignment. Hooray! That's all there is. Really. The only problem is this table looks kinda funny if there isn't enough text to fill it. So need some text to fill it. A moose bit my sister once.
